What is Taste the World all about?

aste the World is a way to experience seven or more different downtown eateries in one delicious meal! 

FUN FACTS:

• Taste the World began in 2009. Happy 13th season to us! (We had no tours in 2021 and 2022.)
• Taste the World was initially a fundraiser for Kids and Cultures. 
• Through the years, more than 65 eateries have participated in our downtown tours. 
• Through September 2023, we have held 68 tours.
• The maximum capacity per tour is 250. We've sold out the majority of tours.
• In September 2023, we welcomed our 15,888th ticketholder!
• In 2019, we expanded to include a Central Market tour, a Columbia tour, and a tour at Lancaster Marketplace. 
• From the beginning, participants have voted for their favorites. Old San Juan Latin Cuisine, Lancaster Sweet Shoppe, and La Dolce Vita Courthouse Bakery have won the most awards!
• Between the 2023 and 2024 seasons, Timm began working for Neighbors Community Center and continued Taste the World as a fundraiser for the community center. 
• In January 2024, we launched our first Meet the Chef dinner.
