TASTE THE WORLD at the Gifts That Give Hope Alternative Gift Fair, Farm and Home Center, Lancaster, Pa.
(The Gift Fair is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

Annual alternative gift fair held the Saturday before Thanksgiving. This year, while you shop, have lunch around the world!

Roasted cauliflower-carrot bisque with lemon, ginger and saffron

Samosa (Kenyan finger and street food/appetizer made from a thin pastry filled with veggies) or
spinach borek (a North African pastry of phyllo filled with spinach, feta cheese, and flavorful spices) 

Upohar Ethnic Cuisines
Alu aachar (spicy Nepali potato salad with toasted sesame seeds, red onions, cilantro, lime juice and spices)

Urban Olive
Falafel (bean fritter made with chick peas, lentils, herbs, and spices) with tzatziki sauce (dairy-based sauce with yogurt, cucumber, dill, garlic)

Proceeds benefit the Gifts That Give Hope Alternative Gift Fair

Bring your ticket to the main lobby of the Farm and Home Center before 1 p.m. You will receive a Taste the World passport, which grants you access to all the servings at the participating food vendors. You can plan the order of your stops, allowing a suggested minimum of 45 minutes to visit all the locations. 

At each vendor's table, a greeter will welcome you, stamp your Taste the World passport, and give any specific instructions. 

Feel free to buy drinks and other menu items from these and other vendors.

This is a family friendly event, appropriate for people of any age! Children three years of age and younger may share an adult's food and do not need a ticket. 

Prepaid tickets not redeemed by 1 p.m. will become available to be sold on a first come, first served basis.
